Since we developed our hunger for highways, there have been two dominant vehicles that have taken us from coast to coast. Cars are the obvious one, gaining fame and infamy for their culture, and motorbikes are the second. Chosen typically by the wilder wanderer, the person who knows no home other than the road, the motorbike has become a symbol of freedom from the normal constraints of society. And this outlaw vibe is something that us Americans love, let's face it, if cowboys had cars, they'd ride a bike.

So it comes as little surprise that these United States have quite the historical culture of motorbikes in all shapes, sizes and purposes.
